Sign Wind Could Cause Death

Ever heard the news people dying of cold, wind, or rather sit? I've heard directly. A handyman who worked in the welding shop near the house suddenly died. Reportedly, the deceased suddenly felt sick. Even scraped a cold sweat. Because the condition is getting worse, the garage owner to drive her home by taxi. Alas, he was not strong, and died on the trip.

All who witnessed the incident immediately concluded, the cause of death because the wind sits. Therefore, I remembered advice grandmother as a child, do not let that go away empty stomach. Danger that catch the wind sits.

Is it true wind sits cause of death? Wind and sat colds has never been known in the medical world. When you hear someone is suffering from wind and ended with the death of sitting, consider medical history. Most people with death, such as welders above, apparently suffered a heart attack.

A heart attack occurs due to blockage of the coronary arteries in acute. This blockage caused by plaque rupture in atherosclerosis of coronary blood vessel walls, causing a blood clot (thrombus) resulting in clogged coronary blood vessels that supply oxygen and blood to the heart muscle is reduced drastically.

A blockage in the coronary arteries of heart attack usually total or nearly total. The heart muscle is deprived of oxygen due to blockage of the coronary arteries is felt by the patient as severe chest pain, sometimes radiating to the left arm, accompanied by shortness of breath, cold sweat and nausea-vomiting. This pain is called angina pectoris.

But complaints Angina pectoris is not always felt in the chest, but may also be felt in the shoulder, in the back, like a choking feeling in the throat, jaw, in the gut so often misinterpreted as heartburn or a feeling of discomfort in the chest that is often misinterpreted as "entry wind "ordinary or" wind sit ".

In fact it is important to note that approximately 30% of patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) has no typical symptoms of chest pain. Patients do not have any complaints at all and look healthy until one day before the sudden onset of severe chest pain can lead to sudden death.

But that does not mean every 'wind sits' is a heart attack. When a new patient or a teenager twenties came with complaints of "cold" or "wind sit", surely the doctor would not suspect as a heart attack instead?

To prevent the occurrence of heart attack, first of all consult your cardiologist regularly. The doctor will conduct several tests, including an ECG recording, Treadmill and Echocardiography.

Second, control of risk factors for coronary heart disease (CHD). The definition of risk factors are factors where more and more patients have these factors, the greater the risk of coronary heart disease patients exposed (CHD), namely: hypertension, diabetes, high LDL cholesterol, low HDL cholesterol, smoking, obesity, heredity and age.
