Avoid Brain Damage, Not Enough Sleep with Less or More - Do not underestimate the time sleeping if you do not want to suffer brain damage. 
In a recent study, University of Warwick proved sleep quality greatly affects brain function and cognitive abilities, especially those aged middle-aged. 

The researchers observed the quantity and quality of sleep of 4,000 male and 4,800 female respondents. Known, adequate sleep helps adult respondents aged 50-64 to avoid brain damage. 
For repsonden aged 65 years and over, the quality of sleep is more important than quantity.

"Sleep is very important for physical and mental health of a person. Optimizing the quality of sleep in the elderly may help reduce the risk of brain function decline or even dementia," said Francesco Cappuccio, one of the researchers in a statement, as quoted Tribunnews.com of MedicalDaily.com. 
If you feel groggy in the morning, chances are you do not get enough sleep, can too briefly or long. The National Sleep Foundation recommends sleeping seven to eight hours. However, bedtime should be adjusted to the age and daily activities. 

Not only damage the brain, lack of sleep is also associated with an increased risk of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity, and depression.
